Good morning. I have largely recovered from my nasty common cold. Common colds for me have always been around 24 hours up, about 12 hours peak, about 24 hours down, and then I cough for a while. Last week’s was 24 hours up, about 72 hours peak, about 24 hours down, and now I cough for a few days. At any rate, I’ve fallen behind in most things I do regularly and not just on Weird Planet Daily, and I have to figure out how to catch up, so let me just suspend for a few days this little get-together we have on this page. The weekly News of the Weird columns will continue on schedule, of course, and my searching for the weird news (including reading every single one of the e-mail tips I receive) will continue. I don’t want to let you down, so may I again this week recommend two other sites on which you can read fresh weird news daily, Jim Romenesko’s Obscure Store and Reading Room (click Link), and Daily Rotten, www.rotten.com/news/. But please keep sending your news tips. I’ll be spending a lot of time right here at the keyboard, reading and coughing, coughing and reading.
